Schedule social posts from Gemini, approved on your phone.

Add Yaybird to the Gemini app as a custom app, then ask for posts in plain words. Gemini drafts them, Yaybird checks them against your brand rules, and nothing goes live until you approve it.

What works today

Works in the US, set up on a computer.

Gemini’s custom apps are new. Google allows them only in the US, for people 18 or older, on a personal Google account with Keep Activity on, in English, and you add one on gemini.google.com in a browser.

Yaybird accepts Google’s sign-in. Some other apps report that Gemini’s sign-in does not finish yet. If that happens to you, write to us, and use Claude or ChatGPT in the meantime.

Setup

Connect Gemini to Yaybird.

  1. On a computer, open gemini.google.com, then Settings and Connected Apps.
  2. Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app and paste https://yaybird.com/mcp. Choose Next.
  3. Sign in to Yaybird, pick your workspace and choose "Drafts need my approval".
  4. In a new chat, type @Yaybird and ask for your posts.

Can Gemini post without me?

No. Gemini can only create drafts and ask for approval. A post goes live after a person approves it in Yaybird, on their phone or computer, unless you turn on auto-approve for a brand yourself.

What if it writes something off-brand?

Your brand rules check every draft. A draft that breaks one is stopped, and Gemini gets the phrase and the reason so it can fix it and try again.

Can I use it outside the US?

Not in the Gemini app yet: Google offers custom apps only in the US for now. Claude and ChatGPT work in more countries.

Does it work on my phone?

You add the app on gemini.google.com in a browser. After that, approving happens in Yaybird, which works on any phone.
