Caption: Up to 2,200 characters. Counted on the safe side: some emoji count as 2.
Hashtags: Up to 5, counted across the caption and the first comment.
Photos and video: Needs a photo or a video: no text-only posts. Up to 10 photos or videos in one post (a carousel). A single video goes out as a Reel.
Links: Links in Instagram captions cannot be tapped, so Yaybird asks for “link in bio” instead.

Do I need an Instagram business account?

You need a professional account: Business or Creator. Instagram does not let any app post to a personal account. You can switch for free in Instagram’s settings, under Account type and tools.

Can it post Reels, carousels and stories?

Yes. A single video goes out as a Reel, several photos as a carousel, and a 9:16 photo or video can go out as a story. Stories show no caption, and Yaybird tells you so before you approve.

Why does Yaybird stop links in Instagram captions?

Links in Instagram captions cannot be tapped. Yaybird asks your AI to say “link in bio” instead, or to put the link in the first comment.
