Choose Yaybird if
You are a creator or a small team, your AI writes the posts, and you want approval and brand rules without a per-seat enterprise price.
Hootsuite is a full social media suite for teams: listening, inbox, reporting and approvals. Yaybird is much smaller. Your AI writes the posts, Yaybird checks them against your brand rules, and you approve each one on your phone.

What Yaybird is for
An AI connected to Yaybird can draft, check and ask. No tool it can call publishes or approves, so the post waits for a person.
Words you never use, claims you never make and house style are checked on every draft. A draft that breaks one stops, with the reason.
Each post shows as it will look on every platform, with a push to your phone when one is waiting.
A post is marked posted only when the platform confirms it and gives back the live link.

Questions
Its developer docs say the publishing MCP server only saves drafts, which a person then publishes in Hootsuite. Yaybird works the same way for agents: they draft, a person approves.
On Hootsuite’s Advanced plan, $399 a user a month billed yearly. On Yaybird they are in both plans, from $29 a month.
